Abstract

The dictionary that served as basis for the Diccionario tecnoló-gico de ciencias médicas by José María Caballero (1886) is examined: the Dic-cionario enciclopédico by the publishing house Gaspar y Roig (1853-1855). A sample of the breakthrougs that appear in the Caballero diction-ary is also given.
