Sobre estructuras y rasgos lingüísticos de los cartularios medievales: anotaciones al Cartulario de San Millán de la Cogolla.

Abstract

In this work we present new and specific characteristics of
the Cartulary of San Millán (La Rioja) based on its digital edition, which can contribute to elucidate the romance history of the Spanish Peninsula
during its origin. Specifically, we planned to study the structure bases of
latin-romance, which are presented following lexicon juxtaposed series –
domum, terras, vineas, arbores, pomiferas, pascuas– and coordinated series –
terras et piscarias et arbores pomiferas et predictam decaniam–; the widespread use
of lexicon couples –rivo/flumen, frater/germanus, domus/casa–; and a selected
group of headwords –arienzos, conceio, duenna, lenzuelos, parientes o casato,
cifo, divisa, presura– in which due to the distinctive phonetics and lexical
we can identify the first products of primitive romance during the High
Medieval Age in La Rioja.
