The present work has been developed from a corpus of documents dated
in the initial phase of the Spanish Conquest of Chile. The purposes
of this work are presenting the results by using a lexicographical historical methodology, i.e. a sample of articles, as well as highlighting the relevance
of Historical Lexicology, almost nonexistent in historical studies of
Chilean Spanish.
