In 2011 DICTER was digitalized thanks to financial support
from the Ministry of Culture. Our objective targets not only the scientific and cultural aspect of the digital publication and its global circulation, but also its lexicographic profitability. We have verified the indispensable help of images – at present DICTER has over 3000 – for the identification of objects and for a better understanding of designations especially in areas such as architecture, artillery, engineering, mechanics, navigation, etc. We have select here some explanatory examples such as balaustre,
bambolla, barril, caracol, catarata, chapa, chozola, cóclea, linterna, maripuente, etc., taken from representative texts belonging to Arphe y Villafañe, Besson, Collado, García de Palacio, Girava (Oroncio Fineo), Juanelo Turriano, Lobato, Pérez de Moya, Sagredo or Ufano.
