Abstract

The automobile constitutes one of the most important technical advances of the 20th century, which led to unparalleled industrial development, as well as having enormous repercussions in the sporting and social fields, although it was initially linked to individuals with high purchasing power.
The reception of this new element was accompanied by a wealth of lexicon, most of which was criticised by professionals and supporters of the sector. Through the specialised press, attitudes, criticisms or assessments will be observed about it that will allow us to determine to what extent its evolution was influenced. Likewise, the birth of a new denominational field was accompanied by the creation of the first specialised vocabularies.
