Abstract

This essay presents a preliminary work that is still underway.
It deals with the development of a glossary of terms related to the areas
of armament and military equipment used in the kingdom of Navarre.
The geographic scope is that of the existing borders of Navarre and the
chronological period chosen spans from the thirteenth to the sixteenth
centuries (1512). The purpose is to collect in individual slips all those
lexical expressions that refer to the area of war. The aim of this study is
to compile, and put at disposal of historians, a working tool for analyzing,
studying and understanding the multifaceted aspects of the war in the
Middle Ages.
