In this article we submit new data extracted from Aragonese
texts (15th-18th centuries); with which we expect to contribute to the history of some words that have traditionally been considered
dialect forms from that region. The notes deal with various issues:
the movement of specialized vocabulary towards colloquial usage
(encorrer and lifara), doubts concerning some attestations (badina),
internal dialectal variation (sarrato), or the need to deal with the
existing relation between vocabulary and external history (pardina).
This study deals with the difficulties inherent in the study of regional
vocabulary from a historical perspective.
